In celebration of 25 years in business, the staff organized a small surprise party for Larry last Tuesday... complete with balloons and a "LarryHead" ice cream cake! We all took a well deserved break while we ate our cake, and Larry opened his gifts.

He got spoiled with a GIANT calculator (the eye sight starts to go after 25 years of paperwork and computers) and a personalized book which included the history of the company, pictures from over the years, and a personal message from staff, friends and associates. It was a fun afternoon! Thank you also to Tracey from Jevco who sent over a yummy Edible Arrangements bouquet!

Effective October 2011, GlenmoreInsurance Brokers Ltd. merged with Costen & Associates Insurance and Financial Planning Ltd. Costen & Associates would like to officially welcome Karen Sandeman and all of the Glenmore clients to our family!

Karen has worked in the insurance industry since 1977 and as an owner/manager of Glenmore Insurance Brokers Ltd. for 21 years. In her spare time she volunteers at Heritage Park and she is also a board member and volunteer for CWRS, rescuing and releasing urban wildlife. Karen also loves cooking and baking, travelling, playing bridge and golf, and spending time with her children and grandkids.

As a result of the merger, Costen & Associates will now be offering customer service from a South Calgary location. Karen will continue working with us in the capacity of both Insurance Broker and Bookkeeper.

We look forward to getting to know allof the Glenmore clients and to be able to offer more products and servicesthen ever before. Welcome!

Life is about change, isn't it?

While we are saying goodbye to Rosie Calon, we are also welcoming a new hire to the Costen family. This change will be a sweet one for everyone, by the looks of it. We are sending Rosie off with our best wishes while she follows her passion and delicious creativity to become a chocolatier. Rosie's last day with us is October 15th, but we hope to taste more of her art soon! We're lucky to have our newest team member join us in her wake. So, with that...
